my copy arrived today :D

and it works !!! doesnt f**k up like DoW patch 1.51 did for me, so ive been playing that all day, tau are a bit naff... alreet for distance but apart from that, looking forward to playing again now, i have missed DoW

no but you need DoW to play as the other races you needa cd key else it's just tau/necrons is quite a good idea!

aye - i love the new campaign mission style stuff too. v good!

BTW - Is it just me or are the tau MASSIVELY overpowered with their guns!!!

yeh they are BUT

they have no defence turrets at all (except on res points but there not the greatest towers unless you spend nearly a 1000 in combined res on each turret to hit the t2 version)

and in actual fact i had this proven to me last night

1 eldar squad of guardians can ahnialate the Tau base in the first 5 minutes without come back

i built tau commander and 2 squads of fire thingies, and 3 scout squads

i could not kill 1 elder guardian squad, they killed the fire things first then the scouts and then the commander and theres nowt i could do cause they dont have any defence turrets or any major infantry killing units fast :S

huge liability in a game being tau i feel cause it's very quickly realisied at the start there useless

however if they survive the first 5 minutes they tend to win lol

but not a great unit variance, it's kinda sad really, necrons are classy in a push tho... get a relic and you can make the HQ mobile... i love that i moved my hq into the centre of the enemies base when i was giving them a kicking lol

overall wha ive noticed so far is this:

Eldar are good for the first 5-10 minutes after that they appear to either have had massive nerfing or they are prime targets cause there always first to go, after that it's imperial guard, same as elder have a huge advantage in the first 5 minutes, but send a few squads in early when you can and it screws them for the whole game.

the most powerfull races in Dark Crusade that i can tell are:

Chaos
Necrons
Tau

Space marines are doing alright but again nothing major in it... but the Chaos definatly appear to have been gifted some nice new things like new HP for there champions etc i havent read the change notes but a chaos lord never use to last as long as it does now, same with a few other of there units.

my bro just picked me up a new boxed xbox 360 for £75!

FYI - you get free xbox 360's with a new mobile phone contract, but the dodgy c**ts don't tell you that and get it delivered to themselves to flog em off and make extra cash. My bro bought one such xbox. it's a core version btw.

Been playing with womble - first 2v2 vs standard computers we whupped. The next 2 games in a row the STANDARD computers ANALIZED us?!?! WTF?

The AI settings are stupidly high now...
