Anyone seen them on offer anywhere?

Cheapest is about £99.99 for a new one. Ebay maybe £60 ish, or a bit cheaper.

I only really want one to play gran turismo 4 on, I can't really afford £100 nicker for a new one but also don't really want to risk buying a dud off ebay.

Yeah but old PS2s can be troublesome. Laser reading errors and other niggly little things which might give someone reason to try and get rid of it on ebay.

£110 inc P&P from amazon for slim PS2 and GT4. Only thing is I then need to shell out another 10 or 15 for memory card. Starting to go off the idea especially as car insurance needs paying within 2 weeks.

You'll not find them any cheaper than bout £100. The only good deals you can get are when you get games with them because theres sod all markup on them..

we sell slims for £95 on their own and make roughly £2.

Got one off Ebay tonight, £51 for a slimline, a few months old, with GT4, vice city, san andreas, metal gear solid 2, cool shot pool.

Knew it was in Newcastle but turned out to be just round the corner from me, so had it collected half an hour later

Whoop whoop.

The good thing about the slim one compared to the normal one, is that you dont need to buy network adapter since its allready on it

Does anyone know anything about plugging in an external hard drive and downloading games to it?

Chief?

Did not even know you could do that, most of the mod chips I know of are playing copied DVD games only.

you can get a dev kit etc with the HDD...but I am not so sure you can do it with the slim ones, as the HDD fits inside the ps2, and the slim ps2 is about the same size as a HDD
