For those who haven't noticed and don't already have it, day of defeat source is free to play this weekend.
Unfortunately as I didn't have HL2 installed before now, it's taking forever to download again.

i didnt realise you had to pay for it anyus

or do u just need to have ought hl2 or sommat ?

It was only certain versions of HL2. The Gold version on Steam for one.
Didn't come with my HL2 anyway. Still f**king waiting for it. 82% at 28kb/sec.

I gave in at downloading it after 2 hours and being at only 27%.

sucks dunnit.
however i eventually got installed and have to say its very impressive. why did they get the conversion to source to work for DOD but not CS
