Well the newest MMO was released last week and it's called RF-online. Already Me and scotz are playing it and I beleve womble is also going to be playing as well.
So I was wondering if any others here would like to give it ago.
So what is the game like, well I've been describing it as elf's Vs Mechs Vs aliens.
The the game is designed to be race Vs race Vs race.
more info can be found here : linky

baisc run down is:
the game is RvR so it's race vs race, it's based on pvp and has plenty of quests chucked in, i started playing it last night and i must admit, it's a beautiful game, not the type of MMORPG i normally go for... but it's good.
each race has leaders, those leaders are determined by the top 10 pvp board so they are constantly changing and it means it's constantly changing.
you can create your own guilds etc, which i will be doing hopefully be end of next week i'll have the skills to do so.
anyone intrested in joining in we are the Bellato Race on the Fire Server (which is based in the UK)
i was in the game like 1-2 hours and already had my first bit of pvp, got the sh*t shot out of me by someone much higher in level, but it was good.
anyways check it out and let us know :D

I was playing the Beta a few weeks ago. I liked it, reminds me of diablo (just point and click).
I don't think I'll pay for it till I have the spare cash tho

Is the quests good, ie not all just fighting a hord of enemies and then on to the next hord and bring back a artifact or something?

so whats the damage a month?
i had a brief look at the webbie from work here, (its one of the few game siutes not blocked currenlty) it looks nice, i have never really been into pvp, but it could be fun, i quite enjoyed anachy online compared to SWG as it was more action packed, though travel etc was a bit rubbish,
i there a strong econmy factor in the game, ie the need to buy upgrades to weapons etc, or is that part of xp you gain, whats the leveling up like, i see level 12 in 4 hours, is that pure grinding? how many levels are there in total, i liked anarchy as you could level up quickly to start and there was 250 levels so if your in it for the long haul then you could still get challenges as you progress

i think it's £10 a month, you get the first 30 days free.
travel is a peice of piss, portals or you can walk around the map etc.
weapons on general are dropped by monsters etc as you kill them, ive only bought 1 weapon so far and thats for when im level 15.
im not entirely sure on top level i think atm it's lvl 60, but thats a good bit off, level 12 in 4 hours wasnt really grinding but it was working at it, but it's gonna start taking longer to level up now as is expected, you get quests given to you automaticly these arent just a walk in the park, you have to switch to diff weapons for diff quests so you gain skills in all areas and just to make sure you do as effectivly as you can.
i played both AO and SWG quite a bit, and i must admit, seriously this is spanking both so far for just enjoyability, maybe cause im in it from the start and not really playing catch up with people i dunno, but yeah im loving it.
it's set to exand so max level will be increased im sure, as will storylines develop, you dont have to pvp but that option is there and it is quite fun.

I think the max lvl is about 70 or something like it, you get to pick your class at the begining: fighter, ranger mage, specailist. then at lvl30 you get to pick your sub classes at lvl 30 and lvl60.
Oh also every day (or week I'm not sure) there is a bit R vs R vs R match for the main mine called the crag mine. Which ever race has the main gain addtional rites and cash. Also each race has there own money which you can spent to buy gold. Basically the more gold a race has the cheaper goods become.
This is what I have picked up so far, but I think there is alot more. Also I have 2 lvl 10 chars made up so far.
