I can't log in, and if I try to do the retrieve a lost account, it says my account name is not recognised.
Has my account been stoled?

the account name should never change, only the email address can be changed. check your account name isnt actually your email address?

i know the account name for definite, and im fairly sure of what was my password. when i try to log in, it spends ages and then says steam is having problems or something similar.
if i try to retrieve account info it takes an age then says the account was not found.

woooo it just logged it and download a big update of steam platform files.
by the way for those who haven't noticed and don't already have it, steam are doing a free weekend of DOD:Source where it appears you can download and try it.

for f u c ks sake, its doing it again. It asks for my password then after a while says steam is having trouble connecting to the steam servers. 
And my connection is much better now, i wanted to play last night but couldnt get on steam. On the plus side, our latest telewest bill was for -£20, because we've blagged so much money back off them, they are paying us to use their services this month

nice about the bill, as for steam I used to get that a bit but it sorterd it's self out on it's own.
It's normally I beleve it's something do do with steams server end.

I find it to be quite good these days, it's doing quite a bit of work so at times it will ahve issues.
But out of the three content devilvery services (I think it's 3) steam is still far much better then the rest.
Plus the whole episodic gaming that steam will give us is something I am looking forward to.
