Someone has hax0red my Paypal account and billed $10 to it, for Skype credit.

I've raised a ticket thingy, and changed my password/removed my card details for safety.

Not optimistic that I will get the money back but I'm confused as to how someone has done it, and why they only charged it with $10. The only thing I can think of is that they were testing it with $10 before trying a much larger sum?

Pretty pissed off

Don't they need your security number on your debit/credit card before they can do anything?

no it's pay pal

once you register your card you just need your paypal passwd

Paypal are normally alreet tbh Greg you might get it back i mean it's gotta be charged to SOMEONES skype account, doesnt it say in paypal? thn you can get onto skype aswell

me and my dad had 2 sep paypal accounts before but both registerd at same address... Paypal actually rang my works number to talk to me about it and then called my dads work aswell to confirm it to make sure there was no scam... so you never know you may get it back.

It just says it is billed to Skype International or something like that, doesn't say the individual account.

i thought it was a hoax email when it came through saying you have been charged $10 but then logged into paypal and saw the same.

no word back yet about my open ticket.
