Theve written my car they claim it needs a grand of work on it. There lying

But hey what can you do oh and to top of it of to get the most money back on insurance i have to swap my radios over even if its for a radio which doesnt work super

buy the car back from the insurance company get the work done your self and your back on the road with cash to spare. they will sell it cheap as the processing and storage of the car will cost them a fair amount.

gama makes a very good point, unless there is something else other than superficial about the damage done that you are unaware of, i have known a couple of people to do this. one did drive round with a different coloured front to his car than rear, but if you dont care about that then no problem

depends whats wrong with the car, if any of the mount points are even been remotely damaged then they will write the car off.

if they did much damage to the steering column you might find its a costly bit of work to make it MOTable.
