Odd question – we are going to recommend to one of the bank's we work with that they install 3 or 4 LCD TVs in their branch in portrait format, to display promotions etc, without the need for changing / printing posters. All very green and a good solution.
But I'm a bit stumped about how to best manage content distribution. Ideally it would be done with a computer that would either stream different video content to each screen, or if that's too taxing, the same content to all of them. Ideally it would be done wirelessly, but I've no idea what hardware would have to be attached at the TV end to do this, plus not sure about the capabilities of constantly streaming 720p footage either via wires, or wirelessly!
Any thoughts people?

That'd work, but isn't the box in between a bit useless?
I mean, get 2 pc's (or 1 with 2 video cards installed) so you have 4 output signals, connect output to it's monitor and use the last output for a monitor in the control room. You edit stuff on the forms on that pc and use a program like Ultramon to move the windows to the other screens.
That's how I'd do it.

Yeah the only Reason we use the extra box is because we need some of the inputs to rotate between boxs

surely leaving 4 big LCDs on all day and all night is going to cost more energy than reprinting some posters every few weeks?

Oh im not disagreeing you with that fact that its not echo although if they got a some solar pannels they could claim it.
On another green note have people heard about the sainsburys down south which is powering its till by using the energy from cars driving over plates in the car park
