As most of you probably know - the PS3 has now been delayed until March 07.
Being on the front line here in the shop, I've already seen plenty folk spitting mad with Sony. The general consensus among my work buddies is that 100% of Sony fans are pissed off with them, 95% will still buy a PS3 but 50%+ will prolly go and buy a 360 - or more likely a Wii - to keep them going till March. Remember theres a lot of kids who would've been looking for one for christmas.
Do you think it'll affect Sony in the long run? Will people just stick with the Wii?
What do you guys think?
Discuss. 
(Especially interested to here from Mojo and MrHappy to get the game devs point of view, and the Mums or Dads among us like Womble..)

I was going to buy a Wii anyway, I won't buy a xbox 360 as I not that big fan of them, I really want that blueray player when it comes out so, I stick to sony

I was going to buy a Wii and there was very litte chance that I was going to buy a PS3 or an Xbox360.
Things have changed abit with MS releasing the XNA dev kit, which might be enough for me to get a Xbox360.

well now, this could take a while, so i am just going to do a quick post and then a longer post later:
I want all 3 to be honest, but last on my list is a PS3...if there are some amazing games that are only for a PS3, and I mean AMAZING games (of which there are non at the mo, and wont be until next year probably) I might get it sooner. I think Sony have totally dropped the ball.
I think the wii will do very well (top of my list) however I am starting to think that M$ may be the strongest...especially if there is going to be some good PC 360 multiplayer crossover madness. From what I hear there are good games on the 360 already, and some of the biggest titles (GTA) will probably come out on the 360 first, and will probably be just as good. The PS3 probably wont get any benefits for being so powerful until the 3rd generation (or wave, whatever you want to call it) of games in a few years...I think I might get a 360.

People who want the PS3 will still buy it. Sony PS buyers are very loyal, a huge amount won't consider an alternative I dont think.
Personally if I have a bit of money when gran turismo 5 is released then I might get one for that.
The fact that the first blu ray players are retailing for around £500 means that it will be very good value for those after a new console AND blu ray player.

Well speaking as a family man , my kids still only ever mention the ps3 , Asher wont even entertain having something called a Wii, and as far as i know most of his mates are still avid sony fans. I put this down to the first 2 sony consoles being so popular and the fact hes had both and still plays his ps2 daily, also the games seem cheaper , more choice and more redily available than the other console games. I dont know enough about the 3 main consoles but id probably buy a 360 because i can , and a sony when it comes out because i like some of the ps specific titles.

I was really looking forward to the ps3, as i wanted to see which console to go for. Ps3 or the 360, but i guess it will b 360 for now. Also i'm loving the wii, gotta buy it plus its rumoured to retail between £100 - £200
