i've looked around for an hour and kind find anything i am looking for, so as a last resort i am gonna ask you guys to help me out here.

Basically this is the graphics card i currently have. Now i've got one connection (the blue one) for my current monitor. However sometimes i wud like to watch other programs i download (i.e. prison break :D) on a bigger screen.

If i buy S-video to S-video (TV has s-video input) would that work?? or would i have to buy some kind of switch.

If you have S-Video on the card and on the TV then all you need is an S-Video cable.

If I rememebr rightly Nvidia have a number of options in the drivers for configuring the TV, as you will most likey have to play around abit to get the picture to look good.

Things to remeber:

1) you can have the screens set to extend or Duplicate.
If you extend to the TV you will need to move the video to the TV screen. if you dup both TV and monitor will show the same.

2) Video will (normally) only show on the primary screen (screen 1), so you may need to change the prioritie when you plug the TV in.

3) the sound will still come out of your computer.

Anything else just ask, I normally plug my laptop into my TV to watch the shows I've DL'ed.

depending how old your tele is, when using video playback you may get just a purple screen, this is because your tv wont support hardware acceleration. You can turn it off in windows media player, but some other apps such as creative media center, you cant.

Nah, i aint got the tv yet, i am looking to get the sony bravia hopefully in a couple of months when i save up some money as i will finally have my own room, as my sister is moving out.

I think i will extend rather then duplicate, to get the most out of the tv. But currently i am stuck watching prison break on my crappy 15 incher

If my lap-top had s-vide output, i wuda got s-video to scart.

ah well, u cant have it all

Bought an S-Video to scart couple of weeks ago, worked really well with Nvidia's newest drivers, you just have to configure the resolution right. (I think you have to set the output to PAL/Composite) Otherwise you get no colour, but the cable was cheap (about £3) and its a cheap substitute for an extra monitor.

I also used it to put Vent + MSN + Xfire on there while I was playing games so I could switch between to two while playing BF2.
