I want to format my current pc, because it is running very slow, and crashes and i am having alot of problems with other software. I want to format bot the drives, and re-install windows xp. I will backup most of the things, but i need to know how to backup bookmarks. I have loads of bookmarks on mozilla, and need to know if there is any way to keep them, i.e. back them up on cd etc.

microsoft ones are stored in you profile, i would guess mozilla ones would be too?

c:\documents & settings\... etc

you could try running a search for *.url or just export from mozilla - i dunno quite as i use ie 7 mostly

why wipe both drives?

are you using any defrag software?

for fire fox it's under

c:\docs & settings\<user name>\application data\mozilla\firefox\profiles

in the profiles dir you should find 1 folder, but there may be more. In that folder you should find bookmarks.html and there is your bookmarks.

Thanks, bookmarks are sorted. Its just i've got a lot of junk, and want to get rid of em, and i wana re-install xp as well. I might also upgrade the pc, when i've got some money
