So, i know January is a long way away, but i want to ask all you guys
Whats a good setup for a new pc ? i had the greatest news, 18th birthday is gonna be a drinkage and ontop of that apparently a new PC. This was too good to be true so i asked both parents, who both gave the same answer, new pc to replace this one im on now.
Woo !
So, any suggestions ? im im thinking 1 gb+ ram, and a good gfx card with at least 80gb hard drive.

Heh, yea...wait :p
The waitings the hard part, but it'l so be worth it to play CS and such with a new setup.
Taking the chance to get some good quality headset and such.

Everything will change in the next 6 months so wait and see what new has come along, if it helps any I plan on building a new machine around that point as well.

shade you'll be looking at dual core processors, PCI-express graphics card and motherboard, probably at least 2gb ram, maybe 4gb.
the specific details will then come down to how much you are willing to spend basically.

I'm gonna upgrade my computer aswell now, since Im moving 1th july, and since I dont own this computer 100 % I only have a laptop..

i cant afford to upgrade at the time, but if you all send me the stuff your upgrading from it may be better than what i have, come on its not like your going to need it all is it!!!!!
unless of course your like alex and have to have 20 pc's running like central heating throughout the house!

It's my mini fridge that provides the heatin in my room :D
bascially when the next gen of GFX cards come out is when I will be looking into upgdaing. Yeah the DX10 ones.

Well im not really that botherd, but since its my 18th im gonna pry my parents for as much cash as ic an get out of em. Im thinking ill get 800 pound max lol..maybe 1k if i get good exam results this year and its only my dad taking me :P
I need the new one depserate, current one is on its last legs (failing internet connections, game lag, memory leaks..etc)

My pc isn't too bad atm but I think I'll give it an upgrade just before uni - cos as a student I'm not gonna be able to afford anything!  lol.
Quad-Core is comming out in january which means cheaper dual-cores for everyone *cheers*. If only I had money...
