all my colleagues have bought them recently, chipped them, and installed xbox media centre on them to use on their tellys but i already have an xp media centre cube so dont need one...

ive had an xbox since it came out... mine also chipped... dunno why u wud bother owning one if it not chipped... and there alot more cooler sh*t than media center on the chipped xboxs get ur noob colleagues to install some decent stuff on it!

btw playstation 4 ever!

There are 3 Xbox's in the flat, 2 chipped. Mostly they get used for Media center.

Not as if there are that many good games to play on it anyway ;)

Xbox 360 looksok though.

Pc rocks all !!! :)

iplayed  an xbox once..it was bad cos my mate had like all the games available at the time. He had a total of 7. We wentt to mine and i had like 40+ games in total.

(that was ages ago. I dont have a PS2,GCUBE,PS1,GBA anymore :o just pc and ps2)

Ninja Gaiden was a pretty solid game, as was Gun, Pro Eve, Jade Empire...hell, there are loads of good games for the xbox.

The xbox (and xbox 360) is really good for indipendant game developers (that are just starting up) as its exactly the same as programming for the pc using DirecX (which is totally free), infact, all you need to do is change some of the libraries, rebuild and its done. This means that just about anyone can make a game for the xbox or xbox 360 a lot easier than for the ps2 (you would need sony's dev libraries to get a proper release for a game, which would cost you). You could prototype it for the pc, and have a dual release for xbox and pc. Anyway, thats the consol from a developers point of view.

As far as consols go, if I had to choose I would rather have a Xbox than a PlayStation 2 because I like the media center and all that jazz. It is like having a portable pc I can take to friends houses and ripp all their videos (thats you gouldy), watch em somewhere else etc. Thats what I want from a consol, its not just about the games.
