Yeah I'm back in Norway

But, Im having one prolbem.. When I put my harddrives back in, they wont be recgonized when I try booting them up, I have tried swiching master/slave etc, but it still says I dont have any harddrives in the machine.. it did work in Scotland, but it wont work now =/

I will test the harddrives when I get back to work on monday, in one of the machines, just to see if its the computer, or the hardrives that are failing..

Any suggestion guys?

prey to the god of hardware...

seriously, how did you take them back? I put my hdd in static proof bag and put it in my suitcase when I went to Egypt and it works fine. They can take some rattling when they are not on...however if they are plugged in a small kick at the wrong time will kill the damn thing easy.

My gf once killed one of my hdd's (one with all my mp3s on)   just by moving it. Basically, I was messing about with them and had them plugged in like you had it at the LAN, just kinda hanging out the box, not screwed in. She gave it a little knock and it started making unhealthy clicking noises and never worked again.

Are they making any noises at all when you power up? any clicking? or even just normal hdd noises. if they are completely silent, it could just be a bad power cable (need to check the pins). other than that, you have already done more or less anything else I could suggest.

Well, I did the same thing as when I brought them down there, I wrapped them in bubblewrap and put them in my hand luggage..
