I was thinking of getting a new graphics card (well prob second hand).

Given I've only got an Athlon 1.3 and a 4x agp slot, what do people recommend?

I'm leaning towards either 9600Pro or 9800Pro. No point going higher. Will the 4x bottle neck my system enough not to warrant getting a 9800 and am I best just looking for 9600?

Thoughts? (and telling me to buy a new pc won't help) Decent equivalent NVidia card?

Anywhere I can get 9600Pro cheap new? Or ebay best bet?

And finally, anyone want to help a poor soul and sell me an old card cheap

PS. for those who don't know, I've got a geforce2 at the mo, so even sticking a sardine in will probably do me better

u need to make sure the card will support 4x mate - 9600 might work - i suspect it will be an ebay job tho - I dont have decent old cards tho im afraid sorry...

9600 is a good card tbh i just had it as a temp card..

my m8 is usuing mine atm n he had a mxx5200 or what ever it is.. the really sh*t GF5 and it pisses on that

i think upto 9800pro are backwards compatible to 4x.
