the price does seem to have dropped.  i paid £195 so i'm not to fussed. 

the psp is the best thing i have ever bought with it i have saved countless hours of anime/tv watching an manga reading.  watching stuff at work is the best thing ever and the games are pretty good too, ridge racer is gorgeous.

what you talking about? psp or gizmondo?? I think, overall the gizmondo does more. It's got gps, gprs (not sure on the exact difference, too lazy to google it) so you can download maps (like in a car gps system), games, video, music.

PSP does more or less the same (no gps as far as I know), only it's more or less a PS2 in your hands.

the gizmondo does all that fancy stuff but the games are gonna be pish hence teh psp is better.

 if use dont listen to anything else i say, then listen to this just, my lecturer worked for warthog games. they got bought over by gizmondo, and so he has alot of contacts there, and so he set us a project to design a game for it, ok the psp can render 30,000 poly's on screen at any time, where the good ol' gizmondo can do just 3000 poly's,

all in all its basically an over glorified fone, its not really worth it, psp is a must have, the screen on the psp is a new kinda screen technology not used b4, so that everything looks crisp and sharp, and if u think it looks sexy wait till use see the white one, omg its a beaut!

ps. wipeout and dynasty warriors are 2 of the best games i pld on it u can get psp in most indy game stores for around £200 but they normally us import which is ok as they scrapped the region crap on them,the official release date i think is sept first.

basically wot u want it to do is the question... sony have signed deals wif all major film company's  so that they release all there new movies on umd(psp disks) so trust me, psp is hand gamin of the future.. dont like to swear but f**k ds and f**k giz.... only gd thing they done in a while is this and i give it 110%...  being a student games designer,, all i can say is on my xmas list is the psp and xbox 360... as after seein all tey can do they look the best..
