Who make the best cheap cases? (notice how well I use cheap in every post I make )
I either want a flashy gizmo-y one, or a smart black quiet one, probably the latter so i can leave it on at night without it sounding like i left the hoover on too.
i havent the time or money for modding one myself except some led case fans, so i was thinking a black case with blue fans what ya think?

i guess it all depends on what you want, and how much your willing to fork over for it,
if you want cheap then it doesnt matter who you buy as long as you get a case, but yeah antec are good, lian li do some fantastic looking cases, but tend to be a bit more expensive, i forked out a bit more for an aluminium case and its very nice, and cool a bit noisy with the fans revving away, going to buy a decent fan controller at some point and turn them down a bit,
but like i said if you want cheap you cant be too fussy, though do look out for bundles etc that come with fans installed etc

I tend to find that you get what you pay for in cases, the more money you spend the easer the case will be to work with.

Good advice gouldy. and i notice from the set up pics that me and gouldy both have Antec Soho file server cases, which are VERY well featured - quick release drive bays, drive racks, fan brackets, side panel etc etc

antec = chieftec
same cases... i fancy a "matrix" case as it has better air throughput than the dragons do...

tbh mate, you say your after a quite one more than anything? very little to do with the case as it is with the cooling components. I wouldnt bother with acoustic materials either in your case - they can put the temperature sky high - resulting in more fans. Just uprate your cpu cooler, psu unit and possibly silence up your HDD. That should leave it quiet enough.
