Gametrailers made a video which shows the difference in the graphics between all the new consoles while running Call of duty 3

in a good game, you don't have time to appreciate the graphics, you're frantically killing stuff or trying to survive or something...gfx are over rated imho

Well, nice graphics are nice and add stuff to games(like CoH vs C&C generals), but the dif between these machines is almost non existant, so even if I had the money and will to buy one I'd go with the one that has the games that suit my taste, and that one is the xbox360

seen the vid now, the dif between ps3 and wii is pretty disgusting tho, and the xbox360 video was too dark to see if there was any dif.

The wii is non-hd...and it looked like it was a video taken on a hd tv...I'm having this problem at the moment.

If you plug your ps2 into a hd tv using compnent, it looks just as sh*t. Basically, the wii will look a lot better on a non hd tv as the diff in res will smooth things out and make it look nicer...strange but true.

by the by, plug your ps3 into a hd tv using component and things will also look as sh*t as the wii.

so if i was to buy a TV to have the best quality for a console, the best would be a NON-HD? Does this mean that id have to sacrifice general tv quality for console quality?

depends on the consol - if you wanted to run hd games, you'd be best off with a hd tv. Running the wii on a hd tv will probably look sh*t.

running a ps3 in hd on a hd tv will look amazing...but it would still look good on a non hd tv.

i think ps3 is the best...it has got very good grphic and i think it weill have the best games...but the xbox360 is very nice aswelll i played nfl on it last year and it was amazing! but my choice would still be the ps3...!

then don't expect to buy on any time in the next 3 years, this turkey is going to stay expencive for ages while all the time most of the exculcive games are going to move to other machines.

plus with the production of the PS3 going so badly don't expect to shops to get any decent stocks until the middle of 2008.

out of the 3 I'm definatly getting the Wii, will most likey get a 360 (once I get time to mess around with the XNA, and soemthing worth playing comes out). And will definatly never get a PS3.

The odd thing is that this has changed form last year when I was not planning on getting a 360 and was considering a PS3.

just got a 360 for exactly the resons Gouldy said, and gears of war and a few other games are cool (as is xbox live).

Wii is a definate, on pre-order. I'm sure I'll get a ps3 one day, but not until there is actually something worth while getting on it...but thus far (and I remind you I am developing on ps3, have played resistance on the test kit we have upstairs) I can still honestly say - PS3 is a big bunch of cock. I'm not a fan boy of any console - infact i think i have many more better games for my ps2 than i do for any other console, but I sure wont be getting a ps3 for a good long while yet - still, I can always play the one at work...

even less worth it when you see that the FF games are coming out on more consoles all the time.

I'm currently enjoying FF3 on the DS at the moment.

Also I can't beleve that Sony did not sort out the F'ing pad, dear god how much effort does it take to put the analog sticks into a decent place!

There will be lots of great games for the ps3 aswell, im buying wii first then ps3, Zelda is gonna be awesome to play, ps3 will have lots of games (I will probably buy more to the ps then to Nintendo, again) , probably some from 3rd party developers, may not be exclusive to ps, but at least it will look great then :)

Sony have always lived off there 3rd party games (as Sony don't really have much first party games), and with alot of them moving away from the PS3 it's going to get less games.

I think more likely the case is that you will see multiple releases for xbox 360, ps3 and wii (Call of duty 3 being a perfect example), all with differences in graphics quality and possibly game play mechanics. I think there will be even less titles that will be exclusive to one console.
