http://boycott-live.com/
So apparently, Microsh*te are pushing to get all new releases under their 'awesome' and 'fully immersible' microsoft life gaming software, meaning you would have to log on and such to save games, play online etc, and would have to pay for the right to play online properly (gold) as silver doesnt do bugger all.
Oh, and they include in their thing stating that NO lan/dedicated servers are to be in the software. Meaning no LAN-gaming at all, unless your using microsh*te live of course. Can we say lose ?
Fun. So it'd be like steam, only not free to use, monthly fees to play/save/actually do anything with your game at all, etc etc.
Boycotting is fun. I dont need any of the live titles anyway, therefor im not gonna :)
Boycott ! do it ! DO EEET !
FREE ONLINE GAMING FOR THE WIN !!!!!!

how f**ked up is that, you'll need to pay for internet monthly, the game, AND monthly fees just to play a game? it must be one heck of a game then.

I don't mind paying for live if I had a xbox, since I heard and seen. It is a very excellent service, with not just online gameplay, but with all these options too. But, no game should be required to be accesed online to save your game, and I don't see that will happen. Online to save a game, would require more time, more load on the servers, and it would be far from a "quicksave", so I doubt we will see anything like that.
Any yeah, the real life game is difficult, I'm still a low level character on that game =/

Uh grizz, its ALREADY happened.
Gears of war pc - you have to be signed in to save campaign, to play co-op/lan, to save scores etc etc etc
Via Live.
But your on gold, and plus they dont take my card, and then you cant play with the other countrys peoples too.

Really didn't know that, log in to save a game, I can understand for co-op through live/internet, but singelplayer/splitscreen, now that is a bit silly.

I don't think I've even installed Live on my PC and I played GOW and saved with out any issues, not that it was worth saving, or even installing.

I can agree with you there gouldy, the port was poor tbh, theyh ad to release a huge patch to fix a ton of bugs etc.
I believe the save thing was changed, but when i got it you had to sign into live to save the game.
To my credit, i managed to complete chapter 1 without a save x3

Not a poor port but just a poor game, I just found the gameplay and art direction to be very bland..

I havent played the game yet, but many many people say it's a good game, especially on co-op. Will have to try that out, I'm also looking forward to when army of two comes out on pc :)

true, it got very repetitive very quikcly. Little to no variation in enemys, crap AI and no plot really.
The fact that the scenary was not destroyable was just plain idiotic.
