well, downloaded the 700 odd mb demo and just installing it.

wonder if it will work on my piece of toss computer.

hope it does as i dont think i can afford upgrades now after all

runs surprisingly well . havent checked fps etc

800x600 with pretty much everything low except textures on med.

wonder what css would be like.

just wondering whether its still worth waiting for upgrades before playing HL2.

or just buy it then play it again when i have upgraded

demo is ok like. First chapter is totaly pointless like, dunno why they put it on...jst wastes mb's!

I was just wondering if the demo is like the HL demo, and thus a new chapter in the game. Or if it's just bits of HL2?

how demanding is CSS compared to half life 2.

just thinking HL2 runs quite smooth (not checked fps yet) but wondered how my pc will handle CSS with smokes etc. guess i will just buy it after exams and see.

altho there are versions of it on torrent network which claimed to play online, although id rather not f**k up my steam account, and it wont update i dont suppose.

css is for my system very demanding , hl2 played beautifally, css lags coughs n farts .

Yeah is pretty demanding is ol css.. but half life 2 runs on anything. My bro's got onboard gf4mx and runs pertty decent. i Completed it on a gf4 mx440 on med settings.

Rady 9800 now

CSS is bit of a nightmare on it though. the gf that is
