i want to get a new headset. one with really good earphones and mic. any suggestions. dont wanna pay too much not really will to go above Ł35 but i dunno where to even start to look :S

i strongly suggest some phillips hp840's

uber good for the price

and damn at that price i paid 40 for them...

Also i wouldnt bother with the wireless cack as if you live in a built or area or wish to go lans theres allways going to be interference. Plus you have to fart about with recharging or batteries.

edit , buy a stand alone mic from game, 4 quid or so , does me fine :)

Well ok it doesnt exactly fit the headset quota but hey its damn fine for gaming.

plantronic headsets are very good, i used some for about a year befor they died due to over use and i moved to a seaperate mic and a good set of headphones. if you want a all in 1 set i'd recomend paying that little extra to get the better audio quality

I use a 4 year old mic for vent and it seems to do me well, ig it doesn't please tell me so I can replace it.

As for head phones I got a good pair from dixons on specail offer on sennheiser, they are very good.

yours dont work either trep lol ;) must be that currys n pcworld are just ghey. anyways i decided to be a scrooge and buy a nice wee cheap set of headphones from GAME for Ł10, there cool but im havin major mic problems n i dunno whats goin on :(

dont buy headsets, use seperate headphones and a mic. A decent freestanding mic is about a tenner then you can get some quality heady's...
