tbh just avoiud that server altogether. Apart from nethin it lags like a bi-atch when theres more than about 12 people on it neway... theres loads of others out there, inc that one you me and mojo had a larf on last night...

*cough* ma dod clan one is 195.20.108.66:27025 -[AP]- Clan + Kustom Maps  tis a gd server wit gd reg but get's full of european hackin cnut0r's (mostly spanish or german) so we've put CD onto optional.... for now

My thought on shep/demonboy saga - what say you m8?

lo mate,
well, well, this is a big of a mess eh?
Ok, Ill say this 1st, Shep has been a member of [SFH] right from the start,
and I have never found him to be anything other than a good, honest bloke.
And Ill say this 2nd, every conversation, especially a written one, can, i
guess, be misunderstood. From both sides...
Now I wasnt on the server, to witness what Shep saw, but if he says it
happened, as far as i am concerned, it happened, and its not something we
take kindly to. As Shep said, its a big no-no in DoD, and gets your
server/clan a bad name.
But I also accept that not everyone, maybe familiar with these "rules", and
that for everyone, there is a starting point from which to gain this
information. This is where your clan come in, new to DoD and therefore
oblivious to the rights and wrongs....possibly the same most of our members
would be in a CS server.
What Im saying is you obviosuly accept Sheps point of view that your members
on the server could be mis-identified as our {SFH] members, and thus our
clan and server would be giving out the wrong impression to any other clans
or plyaers who happened to be on the server at the time. Accept this, then
accept his comments as they were intended. You guys are welcome to play, but
drop (or modify) your tag so that there can be no confusion between the
clans, or educate your members in DoD "etiquette", or preferably, both.
I would also say that from reading your conversation, Shep also accepts your
comments that your clan are new to DoD and that their actions are not meant
to annoy on purpose, but rather they just didnt know any better, but again,
thats not their fault, evryone was new to DoD at one point.
Arrghhh, this is dragging out a bit, and i didnt want it to, it was meant to
be simple and to the point, so to summarise....
Both of you seem to accept each others point of view, so the only thing left
to address is the "tone" of the conversation. Can i say that my opinion is
that all this was was a misinterpretation (on both sides) of what was
written, and thats all it should be thought of as, a simple
misunderstanding, best forgotten about.
We/I dont want to fall out with anyone, life is too short etc.

well "spawn campin" is a real big no no.. its where u wait inside the "spawn area" where the nme spawns from.. this is considered totally unfair and can get u kicked/banned from servers.
a variation of this is where u wait outside of the spawn ramp some ppl dont consider it to b spawn campin as such but it kinda gives the effect (stopping the nme from gettin out of spawn) it makes the game boring and the server will drop in numbers if it goes on for long...
You won't usually find the more exp players doing this as we didnt do it in 3.1 and we aint gonna start now.
Another thing is grenade "bugging" this is where u throw a grenade at a certain point of the map and it, when exploded kills ppl when they r a fair way aweh from the actual "impact zone" (this has i believe been sorted for 1.0 tho but used to b a major thing in 3.1) just a couple of things. Btw a gd example of what i consider to b spawn camping is on a map called dod_kraftstoff the allies if they can push the germans back will spawn camp or camp the exits so the germans can't accomplish the obj. this u will see on all servers on that map so watch out for it.

ok first of all i see nothing wrong with Sheps behaviour , it isnt him thats started the childish name calling and so on . I see we have a rubbish server and so on , well thats fine we wont be seeing you guys on it again . I have to laugh when people come on forums and all they can think of is what a bunch of w**kers or t**sers etc . Century must have really stayed up all night to get the stupid fick heads one. The bottom line is the server you were playing on is ours and if we dont like the behaviour of certain individuals then we will deal with it accordingly. Youll probably delete this post or call me more names from the obvious intellectuals you have gathered in here. This will be my last post or e-mail on this subject . I have no intention of talking about this with anyone as i dont feel the need . I have no doubt whatsoever we are not welcome here and i make it clear that the feeling is the same at this end.

Oh, btw b4 i forget about this entire sordid incident i thought id tell you a little anicdote about [SFH] that well respected clan.
Are you sitting comfortably? Then ill begin...
After the whole "dont play on the [SFH] server" incident, myself mojo and grizler went to play on a pubby BY DoD server. As we arrived on the server (with normal |SFH| tags on) a blueyonder admin instantly warned me that if i misbehaved then id get banned. I protested and asked why? We had never even played on the BY servers before... he informed me that the BY admins knew all about my clan and that if i misbehaved i would get some bannage. Again i protested and i said what do you mean us? He said you're SFH arent you? I replied yes, but were not the DoD clan [SFH] but the CS clan |SFH| Sent From Hell, do you mean us? At this he replied "Oops Sorry, forget everything i just said then...".
In future could you guys please not wear SFH tags in public servers as we dont want our good reputation to be stained. Many thanx. Demon.
