PLEASE READ THIS:

IMHO we should stick with optional. Im worried well lose all the new people playing on the server and as stalker says the server will die... if you have to go and load up C-D and theres no1 on the server whos your m8 and hence you wanna play with them then even if you dont hax you'll just go elsewhere, i know i would.

Not only that but C-D is updated so often that we will lose loads of players from the 56k section cos they wont wanna DL C-D every day just to play on our server, theyll go elsewhere.

Our server is getting more popular these days and I like to think its cos we have good admins and a good laugh. If we go overboard on the anti-cheat then people just wont play here. A better idea would be to get WWCL or such like, which doesnt require a download by the user.

We've worked hard to gain the user base we have now - lets not lose them all just because were afraid of a few hax0rs spoiling the fun.

One last point, if this poll is succesful, it will be taken as a 1 week TRIAL ONLY to start off with, if we find that connections to the server drop significantly over that time then im afraid C-D Req will be removed and it will be set back to optional.

tbh id prefer to scrap CD all together and use VAC!

Y cant we have an option to use VAC on the server?

I get really annoyyed when when i see regualrs to our server not using C-D when we know they have it.

I also see so many blatant cheats on our server, let me explain a little about C-D... when C-D is on the server this means there is no other cheat protection program running which means any player who is not using C-D can use any cheat under the sun from as early on as OGC version1.

so id prefer to use VAC or have CD required because the reason stated above...

btw i seem to spend more of my time kicking cheats, TK'rs and No C-D players than i do actualy playing the game these days..

i say cheating death required as a number of tiems i wanted to conenct with CD on but havent been able to due to full server.

having noticed alot of ppl on it with [NO-CD] meaning if they are prepared to use server y not put CD it aint dififcult

another reason y not to use CD is that our server always seems to be running an out of date CD

for example the server has been running 3.1 when version 3.2 has been out for several days

As you can tell, the server has been very popular in the last 2 weeks... right now (13.41) there are 8 people on the server of which 3 have no-cd and 2 of those are non-regulars.

i hope this poll is enforced 81% of use want CD required..
