Just to tell you my happy news today, Had a phone call at 5.30pm to say that we are being evicted in 2 months time!! Due to the owner's brother not having anywhere to live!!

What do i say to that...f**kING BRILLIENT!!!

they have to gove u 3 months do they not, and if ur still under contract they cant kick u out at all unless u breach it.

you do have rights and id check on the eviction , certainly use CAB ( citizen advise ) as far as i know he needs a better reason than " ive changed my mind i need it for something else"

Seek Legal Advise m8 , also start looking around and if he  does have the right to kick u out then STOP paying the mother f**ker as of now , i got evicted and didnt pay my c**t of a landlord the last 3 months , and got away with it ... hell make some febble excuse and keep your bond anyway if you payed one ? mine i haggled with and only payed half a months in advance he then said wede changed the decor without asking him ( a lie ) he kept our bond = £500 we didnt pay the c**t for the 3 months notice he gave us saving us 3k...so we where 2.5 k better off and we got given a new 5 bed house by a kind housing association. WE win . c**t of a landlord looses out and has to spend a fortune on turning it into student flats that 2 years on he hasnt still been able to let lmao ..

to be honest, 2 months notice is not that bad, in some cases you get 6 weeks etc, bit of a pain moving, sorting out bills etc but not the worst that could happen, i am going through the same problem now, but for me the decision is about continuing to rent or to start looking to get a mortgage and finacially cripple myslef for the rest of my life,

I have a mortgage! No point wasting money on renting if you can afford the deposit. Renting is just money down a black hole. You could pay the same amount (or less) buying a place.

Then if you need to move you rent it out to cover either your rental costs of the new place, or the mortgage of the old one. You still have building insurance and the rest of it but I think its better.
