Hello all...
Remember that golf website that I got ya'll to look at months ago. Well it's nearly finishedish. It's not that I'm really slow, it's that I've been working on other things.
Anyway, the pre-live version is now at http://www.visionbh.com/rgc/
It's looking pretty good, and the navigation works okay, but I discovered a few days ago that the drop-down navigation menu at the top right doesn't work in Netscape. Stupid bloody Netscape. The reason is that it's not actually within a form. However, when I have attempted to add a form, either directly into the code or with Dreamweaver, it's screwed up the layout completely.
So... anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheerio!

ok your problem is this line here
<a href="sitemap.htm"><img src="../media/images/headers/quicklinks2.gif" alt="Select area of interest" width="62" height="18" border="0">
then you go into an select box with loads of options, then you close the tag </a>
as far as i can guess mozzilla/netscape cant handle that because you have a image and then a selectbox and options covered by the <a> tag. i took out the <a> tag (the whole bit of code above) and it seems to work (but its really hard for me to tell as i dont have access to the real site, so i dont know if it still links properly, tho it looks like your javascript should handle the links) if it dont youll probably have to write javascript to handle it.
you should just have
<a href="sitemap.htm"><img src="../media/images/headers/quicklinks2.gif" alt="Select area of interest" width="62" height="18" border="0"></a> then you select box!!
Ill check the fourms tomorrow a some point, let me know if you have my new job...or any problems

Hey - and it works! Excellent. Thanks Mojo, you rock! Now if you could just get the forms working, make a members login and get the forum going that would be grand.
Seriously, cheers mate, that was a big help. Let me know some of yr websites so I can look at them. Then if we are ever taking someone else on, I can get my boss to look at them.

6 months? i remember you talking about re doing the site this time last year! we know you've been busy m8, but first it was 'busy over xmas' then you got worse as you got 'busy over disertation' then it went on with the end of year, the job hunting, i17, the LAN the moving and now your even moving again and again your prommising more time, the finished website, more cs after this thing is over, but we heard that befor so hope isnt holding out to well
sounds harsh i know but were all aware of the perfectly good reasons, but for the last year all we've seen clan side is you slip with the website and playing cs so you gotta understand why it becomes the but of jokes and windups

No sh*t it sounds harsh !!
Nothing like being supportive to ya m8ts .. and thats NOTHING like being supportive to ya m8ts .. boom boom
In the grand scheme of things i think D's done his far share for this clan , maybe instead of critisising , folks who can do this sort of thing , could offer to help !! Such as good ol mojo did .

you have no idea how hard i was trying to word that so it didnt become offensive. I am well aware of the commitments and activities alex has done for us. he didnt have to help host the SFH lan's, he didnt have to put me richie etc up when we were up there and i have alot of respect for you m8. i was just trying to point out why the comments about things like the website keep coming up, altho i guess it was kinda obvious.
soz m8 i realise i was stepping to close to the line there so i'm backing away.

You have no idea how hard it is to try to find a way of calling you a bit of an arrogant twat so that it doesn't become offensive.
You stepped over the line not too close there imo, and backing off right now would be a wise thing for you to do before i say something about you that i might regret whilst both you and i are in this clan together.
