Finally got the BT line activated in my new flat today.
Order placed for O2 Premium LLU adsl.
Can't wait to sack off my 3 mobile broadband usb dongle I've been on whilst I've moved around houses for the last 2/3 months.
Was quite impressed how much 3 will work to keep your business though. I called to cancel and was offered firstly a 50% reduction on my contract (rolling 1 month contract for £15/month), which I declined, and then was offered two months free while I 'reconsider' whether I need to cancel it. I'll still be cancelling in 2 months though.
Looking forward to the estimated 17meg I should get with O2.

I just spent half an hour on the phone to virgin, who actually have to recable our local line because it's so over used, and managed to talk them into upgrading us to the 50mb line for free! It is amazing what you can get if you say you're leaving.

utterly impressed with O2 so far - activation date provided within hours of ordering (4 days after the order on friday), router despatched this morning for delivery tomorrow. and I don't even have to pay anything for 2 months, by which time I'll hopefully have an O2 mobile rather than t-mob so it will only cost me £10 per month. woo
