Well you need to make sure youve got free slots for the RAM and you cant get exatly 300 youd be looking at 256mb but first you need to work out how much youve already got in and if youve got any free slot's for more.you need to spend around a 100 quid on graphics im sure people will make suggestions

if u want a gd set up( this wot i use on my desktop pc)... go out by ur self a pci express mother board, then go and spend £100 on a pci express radion x700 256mb gfx
then get a gig of ram for about £100. so in about £250 u wll have a pc that will run bf2/doom3/fear etc
tried and tested, but remember this wont run the like of doom on ultra settings. this will run everything at medium/high depending on the game,
just remember for the likes of doom and bf2 you need at least 2 gb of ram to get game running at a smooth 70-100+ fps.
i got u on msn so msg me laters will give u links to some top sites where u can get stuff cheap.

not saying that, just saying "just remember for the likes of doom and bf2 you need at least 2 gb of ram to get game running at a smooth 70-100+ fps." is a load of womble bum...

www.ebuyer.co.uk thats where your going to buy your stuff, coz its dirt cheap.
You can get 1gb ram very cheaply too. im gonna get another gig stuck in mine for about £50. Then im also looking at upgrading gfx card.
as someone said above, PCI EXPRESS is quite a decent range...

dont buy from ebuyer - theyre ripoff merchants.
www.scan.co.uk
www.tekheads.co.uk
www.overclockers.co.uk
Much more reliable companies.

I got 2 320Gig HD's off ebuyer for £85 each and they arrived the next day.
As for upgrading the motherboad I only do it if you are 100% sure your old CPU will fit in the new boad!
but I would say get at least 1Gig of ram, also what speed is your CPU, because there is no point getting a huge kick arse GFX card if your processor is a bottle neck.

Theyve always been pretty cool with me even when ive had to send back proccesors. However i do know someone that used to work there and he said it was a joke they ended up bringing in this american guy to try and encourage motivation and performance which envolved removing everyones chairs.
