ok after going to #overclockers and getting no help WHAT SO EVER... ive come here :) (damn elitist faggot op)

erm ive lost the usb lead to my olympus mju300.. now, it doesnt have a normal usb connection that goes into the camera, i have come to the conclusion that it is a "mini-b" type plug that i need, but i was told in #overclockers that "EVERY" camera uses a totally different lead, and you have to contact the manufacturer and crap to get the right one. i thought this was bollocks. but thought id check

opinions please? will i be ok to go ahead and buy a mini-b usb lead and use it or wont i?

utter bollox tbh. standard USB cables all the way in my experience (and ive set up quite a few cameras). Might be worth taking your cameera into a shop and finding the cable that matches if your not sure.

erm i mostly agree. My old HP camera and my Fuji s5000 both use the same lead but my mums fuji uses some prorietory lead they like to charge £15 for plus P&P - so i just got her a card reader instead
