its sexy
black and blue is always the best

compared to a slab
and gamecubes are just poo :x

I voted Game Cube ;D If u like Zelda then buy it ;P .. ( I bought one today :D ) and if u are going for either ps2 or Xbox then go for ps2, cuz the ps2 have been longer out then Xbox and there are more games on ps2 then xbox, Xbox has a sh*te controller and dont have that many good games ...

Xbox, because it does have great games, it has Xbox Live, loads of great upcoming games, the controller isnt sh*te (unlike the PS2 controller, which I find very uncomfortable)
The latest Zelda isn't that good tbh, unless you like a lot of backtracking (I know, Halo is guilty of this too)
Tbh, It all depends on what you're after, If you want great games and a decent online system, get an Xbox. If you want to buy what is increasingly looking like Nintendo's last console  , get the GC. If you want sheer volume of games, with no thought of quality control, get the PS2

Gamecube is my choice, then xbox, then ps2.
There are some great games on the Gamecube, and zelda rocks!! Plus its tiny, you could take it anywhere and Wavebirds are handsdown the best controllers!!
An xbox may be a console version of a pc (its a crap argument btw D), but so what. I like the idea of being able to rip xbox games onto it, watch divx's on it, and i belive even install linux on it. how many people can pack up their desktop and stick it in their bag, and take it on, say....a skiing holiday in france and still be able to play sh*t loads of games and watch divx's?
Personally, I think the ps2 is not all that much better than the ps1. Best things about them are the Metal Gear Solid's, and Tekken. The PSX is out now in Japan, now that sounds cool...but ohh!, isn't it just a consol version of a pc?!?!
I guess we're just going to have to face it, PC are the best gaming platform there is, and always will be. Better processors, better games, better upgrades, plus can emulate any consol, given enough time. umm, i think im going over my 500 word limit...Go Gamecube!!

Yeah GO!! GameCube!! GO!!
It is the best of the consoles, it has great games and the best controler ever made!! It's so good that I have gotten a gameCube to USB converter.
But you should remember that the GBa is a great console, I have just got a flash card so I can play copied games on my GBa SP. and I can now make my own games too. Just wait for my first game: World Vs King Borbon and Fraggle (brodie)

well im still undecided atm keep the arguments coming plz, atm its between xbox n ps2 but im begining to like the sound of the game cube exept its more awkward to find games for , ps2 games , even the co-op do um lol

you can do all that on a laptop... plus i dont think womble would want to put *nix on it anyway and even if he did you can put it on the PS2 as well (albeit u gotta buy the hdd kit)
personally i'd go for the PS2 - i have one but thats not the reason im saying it. GC has the odd good game like mario kart etc, so does the x-box but the problem is there isnt LOTS of good games, and what good games there are cost a load. PS2 you can play any of the newest PS2 games and all of the oldest PS1 games on the same system which gives you alot of choice and most of the prices are low (cept for the newest titles of course) If you want games with beutiful graphics and online capabilities just use the PC, if u want a fun 10 minuit shoot about on a game then ps2 simply cus of the number of titles, the adverage price per title is less and if for some unknown reason you want it to be chipped i beleive the ps2 is far more 'chipable'
anyway i think thats under 500 words so i'll leave it there

depends really what kinda game u like, and if u hate the loading time that is on ps2, cuz on gamecube there are almost no loading time...
and to the games there are a few games that are only for a certain consol (like FFX, Zelda, Halo)
and since u have kids there are a lot of good kids game on Gamecube and family games like Mario, Monkeyball etc..
So it really depends of what u like..
