Hey guys :).
Basically i have just moved house again, and my internet connection was fine at my old place (Was with Sky), Now i have Virgin Media as my ISP, now i never had a problem with Virgin as i was with them before my last place and there was always 2 of us online at a time with no problems!!
Now iv been trying to playing on Xbox Live for the last few days and it rarely works properly. On black ops i join a server, start playing, every 5seconds or so i get 'Connection Interupted'... Same with Fifa 11, I can only play against certain people with a half decent connection but i still get major lag issues!
Now iv done a Speed Test and it doesnt seem as bad as i thought it was, but it aint brilliant, but does anyone know what else could be causing it to be so sh*t! Heres the speed test below! I think if i remember rightly this is the better speedtest online?

you using a extender or wireless?
are you plugged into the master phone socket?
Ask virgin to defrag you fone line.
Reboot your rooter.
Plug into the test socket to improve performance.
Remove your Ring wire from phone socket.(phone will still ring...its obselete...for old fashioned phone's)

Using wireless adapter, have tried ethernet cable but that dont seem to want to connect!
Might get in contact with Virgin tomorrow and ask them!
Gunna try a reboot in a minute!
**EDIT**
Ethernet cable definitely doesnt wanna work. Wireless seems fine! Even when i run the xbox network test, its all peachy like my other lot!
But as soon as i get ingame, its dire!

wireless gaming always fails....
try a different cable..
also try re-install the disc that came with the router..
you need ethernet to work to be able to access your router (in aa browser)

are you on VM cable or adsl?
you will be limited by wireless, especially depending on the physical materials used to build your house, how close you are to other radio emitters, eg microwave etc.
Try it with ethernet and if that works and you dont want long cables everywhere, use a homeplug adapter.

well basically its a houseshare, i have an ethernet cable running through the floors going into my room, but i cant get it working on the xbox for some unknown reason.
As for the disc dazzy, its not using PC so wouldnt make a diff, i just dont get why its sh*t compared to the last virgin media ISP i had?
Would possibly plugging a spare router into the ethernet cable in my room (has wireless on) possibly help more? Would it mean instead of my wireless going through the walls etc, would just literally be right next to the router?
**EDIT**
Have setup the router, i found a telephone line in my room so thats quite cushty, plugged it all in, so im assuming instead of jumping through walls and going downstairs, my wireless would be using the one in my room now?

avoid wireless at all costs!
