Star Trek Online's open beta begins Tuesday 12th

I reccomend you give it a shot.

All i will say is, Ive already pre-ordered, and i dont regret it.

have indeed been thinking about it, do fancy a new game to try, though i wanst too impressed with the look of it on the webiste, could be wrong, have not looked for any reviews yet, anyone seen / played?

I'm so very very tempted to buy the £50 special box on steam. it gives you loads of goodies for in game

it seems you can only get into the "open" beta via a few channels or buy pre-ordering the game.

£50 is just for the super digital version, you can buy a version thats £25

ok, I broke and bought the stupidly expencive deluxe version.

I gave the beta a quick go and it seems quite solid, it does have a few bugs here and there (I'll post up some pictures) and some nasty lag in places but I'm sure it will get better for release. Hell Eve-online was night and day when it came to the beta and release ;)

yeah I'm quite enjoying it, there are a few ruff edges but being only the 2nd week fully online its gone well.
