riteo, atm, im making a website for someone, and am wondering if someone could help me out, few things

first off, i could do with the code, dsont really care what scriptin language its in, jus as long as you explain how to use it, i need to make the whole site centerted both horizontally and vertically, horizontally i can do, but vertically i cant

and

how hard is it to make a log in thing? so that ppl can log in using username and pass, have access to 1 or 2 pages in the site, which wont be shown on the site unless your logged in, im only talkin about 5 ppl, so... thanks in advance

and

these forums, where do you get them from? and do you have to pay? or...where is the best place to get free forums from then, ones that can have their colours etc changed, jus wondering

I just wrtoe a huge reply then accidentaly clicked backspace when the box wasnt selected and did a bvack and the whole thing dissappeared. I frickin hate it when that happens!

1. Why do u need it centred vertically? After the final line the page will be automatically centred anyway unless your page is tiny and only fills a part of the screen in which case it will juist look justified to the top of the page.

2. You could do a cheap and easy but less secure version using java which would only allow for as many usernames/passwords as are programmed into the page code (usually only 1) but ur better using asp/php scripting and there are loads of prewritten routines available on scripting sites all over the net - no pt writing one urself as hundreds of probably betrter ones are available already.

3. For a forum u WILL require asp or php enabled webspace. If you want a php one you will also require a seperate MySQL database (sometimes provided with your webspace depending on who youre with and whether youre paying or not). The best 2 in my opinion are:
