Does deleting trojans from the virus vault, mean that the virus is being deleted or just being removed?

I mean how good is it really for getting rid of viruses, and spyware?

I think I just leave anything in there myself.
But if you delete stuff from the vault it is deleted permanently. Trojans aren't really viruses, the kind you've isolated are probably just limited to the one file and not really dangerous at all. I pick em up quite often in downloaded warez, AVG sticks them in the vault and they cause no trouble.

oooo, sophos.. nice, I always wanted that one, but its too well protected, I heard they like check the ip address everytime you update or something, so I havent found a working copy.

I can download a legal Norton Internet Security 2006 for free tho, its included in my internet subscription, but I dont like Norton so.

I use BearShare Lite which doesn't have any spyware... gotta be a bit careful about what you download probably - I only use it for music, which I've never had any problems with.

Never got Bittorrent to work properly myself - pain in the ass trying to find stuff, then it never downloads stuff properly. Maybe it's because I'm in Bahrain...
