I seem to have expired a second crt monitor in about 6 months.

my current one went pop last night and now just displays a yellowy turquoise colour for whatever signal goes in to it.

bit f**king irritating. any ideas why i have gone through 2 in such a short time. both were quite old and my pc gets a lot of use.

if i had the money id use it as an excuse to buy a nice 19" tft but i dont so hopefully borrowing ANOTHER 17" off a mate

yeah got all my computer on a 10socket surge protector.

i guess its probably just a coincidence, ill find out if the next one goes pop i suppose!

Did you have a large magnet or speaker near it? My mum put a speaker magnet on top of our TV once and the corner was purple for months.

theres 2 fat mission speakers

not far from either side, but the nearest is still a foot and half away at least.
