Is there any viability in us providing a public vent server for the use of those on the game servers?

Obviously there is the cost/bandwidth problem, and it could end up getting misused. What about a public channel/password on the vent server for a trial period?

I think it would appeal to regulars with microphones, would be good if used properly.

well i already have give alan my flat mate the channel pass etc as we play late night games when all ur children are a sleep :P

only thing is if we do that clans like acu might abuse it and want it for matches as i dont thinkl they got thereown vent or server etc

Ive set a public channel on vent. This is only to be used by a few very close mates if youre playing with them. It is certainly not to be used by randoms and the IP is not to be given out willy nilly. Also, non |SFH| members can only use the vent chan if theyre on with |SFH| members otherwise they can piss orf and get their own. Finally, the channel password for the |SFH| rooms is not to be given out to ANYONE except members. If you're in with your mates then you can use the pubby room.

mashy in the time i been here i seen other non clan members in channel,

and who gives a f**k when none of use r even here, remember during the day ur at skool, rest have work... so i get lonely and need people to talk to :P

me and alan where in there from like 11 this mornin, vent was empty then by 3 pm half bloody clan in the room we were usin, if its so annoyin why come into the room

if it gonna cause trouble we wont use vent... but there gd chance me and him if it cool will be on there alot gaming.

i dont really care about the pub room, agree wif lj and all, wud be to much hassle, having a few mix rooms like me dud and trep had wud work prob,

and u say about close mates havin pw... alan not just flat mate, i known him most of teenage life, he moved to england with me, and he is my best friend. does that make him eligable then? also if im playin bf2 in pub room i dont wanna sit wif aload of twats playin cs.

No Worries! wouldnt happen (mainly since we dont do matchens )! But i understand ur point there.

I dunno anything about having vent channels, except for the facts that u pay for it. i think its a very good idea, but its not ur problem tbh. (and it would take a lot of ur admin ressources i think! As womble says: Kids play cs at ur servers too...

Im really not fussy tbh about public rooms stuff, as long as i get to play on ur servers im peachy...
