Hey guys, i was trying to play the rats server, but as my pc got wiped and i just recentrly re-installed the cs, i have lost all the rats maps, so rather then having to download them when playin, can you not just post a link or some how get em to me, so that i can just let the pc download all of em at once.

god bless that old blueyonder game file, they havnt had the rats sever in over 3 years i think now but still host their files, there were quite a few different packs there as i recall

I have downloaded the files i need, but not sure where to extract them to. Is it D:\Games\Counter strike\Steam\SteamApps\tahirj89\counter-strike\cstrike\maps

Cause the maps extracted from the zip file not only have maps, but also stuff like sounds, gfx, models etc, and the extraced folder is called cstike

right some of the maps have extra sounds etc. the easest way to do it is to extract all the files to a differant folder from you cs one eg c:\temp and make sure the files extract with there folders. so you should hvae this.

cstrike
|
|---- maps
|---- sounds
|---- env

and maybe a few others then copy the c:\cstike folder to D:\Games\Counter strike\Steam\SteamApps\tahirj89\counter-strike
It will ask you if you want to do this say yes and all the files will go into the right place.

Well when i did that it asked if i would like to replace the current folder and the files in it with the new cstrike folder (which includes the rats maps), i said yes to all. Now i;ll just go on cs and see if it worked

yeah that was the right thing to do, because it will only relpace the files that are the same. it will not delete any files.
