Ok, my problems back. Net connections fine but steam can't connect to its network, and thus I cant log in anymore. I am starting to think that it's got something to do with my p2p software, as it stopped working after the software crashed...I really can't be bothered doing yet another rebuild, but in order to play cs, I think I will have to, unless anyone has any ideas!

Uninstall p2p, re-install steam, etc...

Keep all your p2p software on a second machine not on your main gaming machine.
