Ok, just so everyone knows weve lost the hosting for our webby. Argyll Internet were just bought over and we now no longer are sponsored. I shall host it on my own machine for as long as req'd til we can arrange hosting. If any of you know any companies who may be wiilling to host us then please speak to them and find out. We need approx 50-150 mb of space and enough b/w for about 100 - 200 sessions daily, which aint much...

i had a look a found a few nitresting host you may want to check out dunni what ya nne i gather php and sql database for forums cgi would help if you specifyed the requirements for the host anyway check out thers few free host i found http://www.thefreewebhosting.com/

im hoping theres a very slim chance we may be able to continue our sponsorship however i will find out for certain this week hopefully. as regards other hosting, we need hosting with ASP as thats what the old and new sites are both written in.

I think it's more due to the fact we've not heard alot from you in a while (and I think the whole CS server thing is some thing to do with it). But I don't know I will just go with what ever is decided.

not at all mate - scotz i just forgot to reply to everyone on this foruma nd aint been about to speak 2 u. I have organised our hosting as the company who sponsored us before has been bought over, but the new company says they are happy to continue our hosting. They are currently in the process of moving our hosting to a different box and I need to check with them as to exactly when it will be done. More news as soon as I know...

Ok lads - I got tired of waiting for the new sponsors to hurry up and setup the new site access and they were gonna charge us a bit of cash anyways so i thought bugger it, ill pay for it meself. I have ordered the new hosting from www.landofnet.com who seem to be pretty good - their tech support people are prompt (i raised a medium priority ticket and got an answer within 1.5 hrs!) and it gives more features on the new space than the old one had. Its costing me £3.95 a month (yes I know scotz offered cheaper than this but he didnt have asp support which I need - sorry dude) so if anyone feels like chucking a spare couple of quid my way to help pay for it then I would be very grateful however if nobody wants to then its not a problem, I dont mind payin it myself.
Anyway, to ccut a long story short, the NEW (YES THATS RIGHT I SAID NEW) webby will be up and running in the next 48 hrs or so (basically as long as it takes them to replicate the DNS entries to our new hosting) and I am working on it right now to make sure as many of the features are working as possible when I upload it tonight/tomorrow.

PS - All those members who are currently in the clan now qualify for their own POP3 email accounts (yourname@sentfromhell.co.uk) due to your continued support even during these somewhat difficult times. I will be setting these up later this week. I also need to recreate those accounts for people who already had them on the old domain. This means new passwords and login details etc. Those of you who would like your very own sentfromhell.co.uk email address please say below...

Apologies for the mess. I changed the DNS on Monday but it seemed to fail - which I just found out today. I also went to change the IPS Tag but I can't do this on the system either : it seems I have to authorise this by FAX as the name was never registered with us in the first place. I'll do this on Thursday for you

Used the www.sentfromhell.co.uk domain and found my DNS was updated already, took me straight to the new page without redirecting so it looks like it may be upto people's own ISP to update now? I found that at 13.30 so the change worked for me (and so maybe other pipex users) befor then.
